Now Hattie knew better than to offer something she couldn’t give, especially when food was involved. She’d come prepared, and while Nick had provided the corn the caramel was all ready to be warmed. She had picked up some from the store on the way over along with a big bag of marshmallows. They seemed appropriate.
"You leave the caramelling to me!" She stated brightly from the kitchen, "You go and change into something I can snuggle you silly in."
Nick is quick to stand at attention, saluting the woman in the most serious of fashions.
"Yes ma’am!" And with that, he walks off to his bedroom to get changed. After removing his suit, he slips on the Sailor Moon shirt Mr. Powers gave him and slips on a pair of boxers.
Nick then slips back into the kitchen, eager to watch Hattie work her magic with the popcorn. He had never had fresh caramel corn before. Mm. That sounded so good. And with Hattie being the chef, he knew it was going to be good.
"I haven’t watched many musicals, you know," Nick offers as he leans against one of the counters, "I only know of things like Wicked, and the Lion King… Phantom of the Opera… You know."
Hattie wolf whistles Nick cheekily as he re enters the kitchen. It’s not false praise though, it is always nice to see his legs outside of the suit.
Really all she has to do is follow the instructions to melt the caramel then apply it to the waiting popcorn. While the pan on the stove heats up she flicks on the kettle for hot drinks and opens the big bag of marshmallows, offering him the bag.
"Well that’s still more than most people!" She says encouragingly, "Plus all the Disney movies would count. If you had to pick a favourite Disney Movie which one you pick and why?"
